For travelers, there are few things extra nerve-racking than a delayed flight.
That is what Kristen Dundas of Windermere, Florida, idea except her Southwest Airlines flight from Orlando to Washington used to be delayed Thursday — and she actually ended up taking part in the journey.
“My flight to Washington DC has been delayed for nearly 2 and a half hours and I was getting HEATED except this gate agent started playing video games with all people ready to pass the time and now I am fancy I will wait all rattling night must you abet this up,” she tweeted Thursday.
The tweet incorporated a video exhibiting a gate agent net net hosting a contest for the “worst driver’s license characterize.”
The agent also hosted a paper airplane contest, acknowledged Dundas.
She acknowledged winners had been awarded $25 vouchers and Southwest merchandise.
In reply to Dundas’ tweet, a Southwest Airlines consultant replied: “I am happy our agent used to be in a location to invent the extend a minute little bit of additional bearable for y’all, Kristen! We hope to comprise you ever for your formula ASAP.”
Though Dundas didn’t rep part in the video games herself, she known as the journey “awesome.”
“I was actually annoyed that the flight kept getting delayed because I was going for a transient weekend time out to DC to search the advice of with chums,” she suggested CNN.
“Once he started playing video games, I was laughing and having a expansive time and didn’t even mind that the flight used to be delayed.”
The extend lasted about three hours, Dundas acknowledged. But when the flight took off, passengers clapped and cheered for the gate agents.
“This video is one other expansive example of how we abet our workers to comprise fun with clients,” Dan Landson, a spokesman for Southwest Airlines, suggested CNN.
