2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet Is A Great Way To Enjoy A Six-Speed Manual

A Porsche 911 Turbo S with a six-speed manual transmission? Sounds like an absolute dream car to us – and if you want and can afford it, you can place a bid on this example currently for sale on Bring A Trailer.

The Turbo S Cabriolet in question is a 2005 model originally purchased new from Beverly Hills Porsche but brought into Oregon back in 2009.

The current owner purchased the car through a Bring A Trailer auction last year for $83,996 and has only put 350 miles (563 km) on it since then, bringing the total to a touch under 20,000 miles (32,186 km). Included in the sale will be two keys, all original books and manuals, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, a clean Carfax report and a clean Oregon title.

Powering the 911 Turbo S is a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six with the (extra) X50 performance package which includes the larger turbochargers and intercoolers from the 996 GT2, increasing power to 450 HP. All of this power is sent to the pavement through an all-wheel drive system and a six-speed manual ‘box. The car looks to be great fun to drive, and a video showing it in operation proves that while it may not have as much grunt as a modern 911 Turbo, it is still extremely fast.

In the listing it is stated that the car is sitting on its factory 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires and sports PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes) with yellow brake calipers and is painted in Arctic Silver Metallic.

At the time of writing, it has attracted a highest bid of $40,250, with five days remaining until the end of the online auction – so it will probably go for much more than that.
