2020 Aston Martin DBX Teased Again Ahead Of December Debut

Aston Martin has just released yet another teaser video of the upcoming DBX, this time showcasing the design connection between it and its sports cars.

The upcoming British luxury SUV made its dynamic debut in camouflaged prototype form at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, offering a first taste of its loud V8 up the famous hill.

The DBX will be based on the company’s all-new architecture, which is set to underpin the future full-electric Lagonda models as well. Thanks to the brand’s collaboration with Daimler, Aston’s first-ever crossover will feature an electrical architecture from Mercedes and an AMG-sourced twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8.

Power output is expected to be set at 503 HP, the same as the DB11 and the Vantage that use the same engine. The all-wheel drive system is expected to shift more torque towards the rear axle for more aspiring handling, while there’s even talk about a Drift Mode.

Nevertheless, Aston wants its first SUV to be exceptional at off-roading too, judging from previous teasers showing prototypes tackling difficult terrain.

The DBX will be officially revealed this December, and Aston has already opened its order books. The British automaker has high expectations from its new model, which should prove a serious money maker once it hits the market in 2020.
