The powertrain produces a combined output of 367 PS (362 hp / 270 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, rocketing the sedan to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 seconds and up to 250 km/h (155 mph), or 135 km/h (84 mph) in ‘EV’ mode. Other driving modes available at the push of a button are ‘Hybrid’ and ‘Hold’, with the latter being able to conserve the electrical energy.

Mounted at the back, the 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery gives it an electric range of up to 53 km (33 miles) in the WTLP test cycle and can be charged in about 2 and a half hours using the 7.4 kW public charging stations. CO2 emissions range between 43-47 g/km (69.2-75.6 g/mi) and the combined fuel consumption is 1.9-2.1 l/100 km (123.8-112 US mpg), although these depend on the wheel/tire combo and chosen equipment level.

Enhancing the sportier character of the new A6 55 TFSI e is the S Line exterior package, combined with the black details on the side mirror caps and privacy rear glass. The car also gets Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, red brake calipers and sport suspension, as well as front sports seats, four-zone climate control and digital instrument cluster.
