Toyota has already confirmed more powerful versions of the all-new Supra are on their way.
However, until then, tuners are already having their way with the Japanese sports car, with the latest example coming from a Texas company called DME.
In a short video released on social media, they showed the Supra strapped to the dyno during a test run, revealing an output of 527.67 horsepower (535 PS / 394 kW) and 462.47 pound-feet (627 Nm) of torque at the wheels. What’s even more impressive is the tuner’s caption that reads “She’s got a lot more in her”!

We would have loved to see the tuned Supra at the drag strip, running the quarter mile and having its 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint recorded. For now, though, we’ll have to make do with the stock variant’s specs, which promises only 4.1 seconds from rest to 60 mph (0-96 km/h), courtesy of the 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six that kicks out 335 HP (340 PS / 250 kW) and 365 lb-ft (495 Nm) of torque at the crank.
Like its famous predecessor’s 2JZ, from which huge amounts of power were extracted by various tuners, the 2020 Supra’s lump seems to havbe an immense potential as well. Early reports indicate that it can handle 1,000+ horsepower, so as DME Tuning suggested, it still has meat on the bones. This is definitely going to be interesting…
