James Bond May Drive The Aston Martin Valhalla In New Film

Aston Martin recently confirmed that its upcoming AM-RB 003 hypercar will be dubbed the Valhalla, and now it has emerged that it could star in the new Bond film.

This Is Money claims that the British hypercar will be featured alongside a 1960s DB5 and an original V8 Vantage (recently spotted) in the unnamed 25th installment in the long-running James Bond franchise. Aston Martin chief executive Andy Palmer retweeted this report, indicating that it is indeed accurate.

The interesting thing to note about the Valhalla’s role in the new James Bond film is that development of the hypercar is still in its early stages and filming is already underway. It’s, therefore, reasonable to assume that the Valhalla set to be driven by Daniel Craig will probably be a show car perhaps outfitted with a temporary powertrain.

Back in April, we revealed that the Aston Martin Valhalla will be powered by a turbocharged hybrid V6 powertrain with 1000 hp and 8-speed, F1-inspired dual-clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential with all-wheel drive. The British manufacturer’s rival to the Ferrari SF90 Stradale will weigh less than 1350 kg (2976 lbs) and accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds and comfortably exceed 220 mph (354 km/h).

Prices for the Valhalla will start at a touch over $1.1 million in the United States. Production will be capped at just 500 units and deliveries are set to commence in 2021.
