Singer To Celebrate 10th Anniversary In Goodwood With Three Stunning 911s On Display

Singer Vehicle Design is turning 10 years old this year and will celebrate the occasion by presenting their DLS test car wrapped in a special livery at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, together with two special commissions.

The first of these two special Singer 911s is the ‘Sussex’ commission, which was created as a discrete gentleman’s race car for the road. Unlike other Singer 911s, the ‘Sussex’ car is being used as a daily driver, from commuting to work to visiting the race track.

The ‘Sussex’ Singer 911 is finished in Attack Grey with ghosted stripes and lettering, over a black interior with track seats and a 917-inspired shifter for the transmission. Power comes from a 4.0-liter flat-six with ceramic plenum.

The other car is the ‘Mullholland’ commission, which was created as an undiluted, visceral experience per the client’s wishes. This Singer 911 features a Blue Blood paintwork with bespoke graphics, perspex rear and rear quarter windows, a fixed rear wing and ‘Frog’ lights.

The black interior here also features track seats, but here is stripped from things like air-conditioning, a stereo, interior panels and even sound-proofing. Power is provided again from a built 4.0-liter flat six engine, which features velocity stacks and is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. The brakes are also carbon ceramic.

In addition, the Dynamics and Lightweight Study test car will arrive at Goodwood for its second year. Singer’s DLS is being developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering and other technical partners that include Bosch, Brembo, Michelin and more.

The goal of the DLS is to become the most advanced air-cooled Porsche 911 the world has ever seen. Its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine, created with consultation from legendary Porsche engineer Hans Mezger, can rev up to 9,000rpm, producing 500hp.
