Skoda Kodiaq RS By ABT Now Boasts 266 HP, Even Sportier Stance

After tuning other versions of the Skoda Kodiaq in the past, ABT Sportsline has now added the RS to their portfolio.

The range-topping member of the company’s mid-size SUV range, which is the Nurburgring record holder for its segment, emerging more powerful after some minor modifications.

With ABT’s revised software, the 2.0-liter twin-turbo, four-cylinder diesel engine delivers 270 PS (266 hp / 199 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The extra 30 PS (30 hp / 22 kW) and 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) of torque have shaved 0.2 seconds from the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), which takes 6.8 seconds. Top speed is still limited to 220 km/h (136 mph).

Improving the handling and giving the Kodiaq RS a meaner look are the company’s lowering suspension springs. Complementing the appearance are ABT’s 20-inch GR wheels, in matte black, but the sporty SUV can also be fitted with other sets, ranging from 18 to 21 inches in diameter.

If they’re not your cup of tea, then you could just keep the 20-inch rims offered by Skoda, as well as the stock suspension, and go for the boost in power, which probably won’t burn a deep hole in your pocket. To find out how much it costs to make your Kodiaq RS more powerful, you’ll have to reach out to ABT Sportsline directly, though, as no info has been made public just yet.
