Updated Hyundai i10 Teased With A More Dynamic Design

An official sketch of the upcoming 2020 Hyundai i10 city car, which will premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show, has just been released.

Like all sketches of this sort, it is over-stylized and the real car won’t have the same dramatic and aggressive proportions. That being said, we are provided with a good idea of its new “face”; Hyundai says it is has an “energetic and agile” look, and we’re inclined to agree.

The front of the new i10 incorporates a bold new grille design which includes circular fog lights in either corner. There are also angular air intakes on the extremities of the bumper and sharp new headlights.

“The all-new i10 has a young and dynamic design that stands out in the A-segment. Its wide front grille expresses a sporty character and incorporates the daytime running lights, thus continuing this feature of the i10’s heritage,” Hyundai describes in a press release.

The South Korean marque has confirmed that the new i10 will be loaded with advanced technologies, such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with a front radar sensor, Driver Attention Warning, and Lane Keep Assist System as standard. The new city car will also come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a rear-view camera.

The revamped i10 will, in all likelihood, be sold exclusively with a range of three- and four-cylinder engines, one of which could be the 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged three-pot with 118 HP from the larger i30.
