Alison Brie returns in GLOW season three trailer that promises ’80s style, Vegas and Geena Davis

Netflix is returning to the ’80s once again, but without the monsters and the Upside Down.

The streaming giant just dropped the trailer for season three of GLOW, which premieres August 9.

This season, Geena Davis joins the cast as Sandy, a retired showgirl who gives the girls a new opportunity in Las Vegas.

The dramatic scripted series is based on the ’80s wrestling show of the same name, which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

When we last saw the ladies of GLOW, their TV show in LA had been unceremoniously cancelled after a series of misogynistic instances.

But they were given a second chance with a live floor show in Las Vegas.

The series picks back up as the lady wrestlers prepare to perform in front of a live audience in Sin City.

But it also seems that her friendship with Brie’s Ruth might be stronger after their falling out when Ruth had an affair with Debbie’s husband, ultimately ending their marriage.
