Amy Jackson has hit back at a social media user who criticised her for sharing a photo of herself cradling her baby bump on Instagram.
The actress, 27, who is expecting her first child with fiancé George Panayiotou, shared a post where she detailed the exercise regime she is adhering to during her pregnancy.
In one of the snaps Amy posted, she can be seen cradling her growing bump while standing next to a window in workout gear.

In response, one Instagram user commented: ‘Is it a legal requirement now for all pregnant women to post photos of themselves cradling their belly with two hands?
‘Women never did this…ever…until a few years ago. Must be a new law.’
Not one to take the comment lying down, Amy quickly responded, writing: ‘Cradling my bump makes me feel calm and connected to my baby.
‘Unfortunately for you, you’ll never get to experience that because you’re a d**k. Sorry, I mean you’ve got one.’

While the original comment received more than 230 ‘likes’ after it was posted, Amy’s response received over 3,000 ‘likes’ from fans supporting her.
Amy’s post featured two snaps, one where she is cradling her bump and another taken while she was performing a yoga pose.
The Supergirl star spoke of the benefits of keeping an exercise regime throughout a pregnancy.
She wrote: ‘Even before pregnancy, keeping fit played a vital part in my day to day life and I’ve kept it going right into my third trimester.
‘It’s been proven that working out ( even if it’s just a 20 minute walk!) can reduce complications throughout pregnancy and during labour. So consult with you Dr, and then GET MOVING.’

It has been the dream start to the year for the beauty queen as she announced her engagement to the son of British business tycoon Andreas Panayiotou on January 1.
The couple are believed to have embarked on a romance last year, with their love going from strength to strength ever since.
Just a few months prior to her epic love story, she declared a romantic relationship ‘is not meant to be right now’ in an interview with You Magazine.
