He’s set to make his debut on Australia’s Got Talent on Sunday, having auditioned for the show by setting himself on fire.

And former Bachelorette star and magician Apollo Jackson has revealed that his death-defying stunt almost went completely wrong.

Appearing on Weekend Sunrise on Saturday, the 26-year-old revealed that during the daring stunt, his arm was still on fire after he escaped from a flaming straitjacket.

‘I got the jacket off and I was like “Oh yes, the jacket’s off. Oh my gosh I can relax now!” Apollo said.

‘And I look over and my arm’s still on fire. So, definitely added a bit more urgency to the escape from there!’

Apollo was suspended upside down in a straitjacket above a bed of flaming spikes, for the escape stunt.
