Britain’s Got Talent: Magic act Brotherhood spur fans to claim their pulse-racing sword performance is FIXED as they believe Declan Donnelly and judges rehearsed in advance

Britain’s Got Talent was subject to fixing claims by fans, after magic act Brotherhood performed a dangerous act on Saturday’s edition of the show.

The tantalisingly intense act saw the group of masked men ask co-host Declan Donnelly to place a sword underneath one of four empty carton boxes which they would then fall onto.

They then asked judge Simon Cowell to pick three envelopes at random to decide which numbered box the trio would jump onto.

During the heart-racing performance, the magicians jumped onto the fourth, third and first box one at a time, and luckily came out unscathed.

After seeing them perform, Simon joked: ‘Next time how about we have two boxes and David do it and I choose the boxes.’

While Amanda Holden told them: ‘As a dangerous concept i think it was a really thrilling act.’

While Alesha Dixon added: ‘It was very different and I’d like to see more.’

They did then reveal that the sword was under the second box the whole time, and received four yeses from the judges.

Despite being heaped with praise by the judges, fans of the show were sceptical that the act wasn’t staged.

One user blasted: ‘You reckon DEC gave them a little signal so they didn’t DIE.’

While another said: ‘That’s it Dec..act like you never did this in rehearsal. Good lad!’

One user took a more rational approach as they wrote: ‘These acts are the most fun to watch but let’s face it, it it’s made tv, nothing will go wrong.’

Another explained: ‘basic slight of hand trick dressed up as death defying illusion. Watch his hands as he picks out the numbers.’
