Former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley is the latest celeb name to be linked to the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The soap star is reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ with producers of the flagship BBC show ahead of the the series launch in the Autumn.
The Sun report that bosses are so keen to get the popular actress on board that they’ve already given her a ‘pairing test with a pro dancer’ to see which professional she’ll be best suited to.

Producers think Catherine – who left ITV soap Corrie last year – ‘will be a great signing because of her strong fan following and her bubbly personality. They can see her going far in the competition,’ claims an insider.
The actress lives in Manchester with her personal trainer husband Tom Pitford and their son Alfie, four, with an insider adding that ‘She’s unfazed by the Strictly curse as her marriage is super-strong.’

Catherine has been vocal about her love of Strictly, reportedly even turning down a chance to appear on ITV’s flagship reality series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here to hold out for Strictly.
Back in August 2018 though, the actress was forced to shut down rumours she had signed for last year’s series, tweeting:
‘Guys- I’m not doing @bbcstrictly – I ADORE the show. And maybe one day! But to put an end to constant rumours – I’m not involved this year. But as always can’t wait to watch it!! My total fave!!’

Other names linked to the 2019 series include Chris Evans , while Alan Carr has revealed he’s been approached by the show who hope to secure big names for the 17th series.
Producers are also keen on signing up billionaire heiress Tamara Ecclestone for this year’s installment.
According to The Sun, the 34-year-old socialite has been approached by show bosses to join the BBC ballroom stalwart for years but has turned down the offer.
However, Tamara, who is married to businessman Jay Rutland, 38, is said to have told producers that she would ‘love’ to come on board now that her daughter Sophia, five, is older.
