Peter Stefanovic will star in a new breakfast TV role with Sky News from from July 1.
And the 37-year-old is already gushing about the gig, on Friday telling The Daily Telegraph that he has his dream job.
The TV host said: ‘It is no offence to Channel 9 but this is the dream gig. This is right in my wheelhouse.’

Peter added that he had endured some ‘funemployment’ after being axed from Nine late last year that left him ‘hungry’.
He said ‘times for were tough’ for a while after the shock sacking of Peter, and his brother Karl Stefanovic, from the Today and Weekend Today shows.
‘It was a weird time and a hard time, I can’t lie. Christmas was very strange last year because no one knew what was happening,’ Peter said.

Peter front the Sky network’s flagship program First Edition alongside Laura Jayes, from July 1.
In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph the journalist said he’s ‘excited’ and ‘thrilled’ to join the team.
‘I’m excited. Thrilled about it, actually,’ Peter told the paper. ‘It’s a great challenge, a wonderful opportunity and a fantastic privilege to be asked to be part of the Sky News team.’

The new role comes after Peter was dropped from Channel Nine in December, after 15 years with the network.
Peter’s axing was announced while he celebrated his brother Karl Stefanovic’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough in Mexico.
Peter recently took to Instagram to welcome fellow ousted Today presenter Tim Gilbert to Sky News, where he will host Racing Dreams, captioning a photo of the pair: ‘We have the mornings covered seven days a week’.
First Edition airs weekdays from 5am-9am on Sky News on Foxtel from July 1.
