Sam Frost fawns over her boyfriend Dave Bashford after his cocaine bust

Sam Frost’s relationship with Dave Bashford is still going strong after he was caught up in a Bondi Beach drug bust.

The Home and Away star, 30, fawned over her Navy diver boyfriend, 27, at Sydney Airport on Tuesday morning.

It was their first public sighting together since Dave avoided a conviction for cocaine possession last month.

Sam went makeup free as she wrapped an arm around Dave, who was pulling along a large black suitcase.

She dressed casually in leggings, a red sweater and sneakers, and styled her blonde hair away from her face in a simple updo.

Dave wore a white T-shirt, jeans and black puffer jacket as he placed his hand around his girlfriend’s shoulders.

The couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other, with the former Bachelorette smiling and jumping for joy.

Dave avoided a criminal conviction last month after he was caught with a bag of cocaine at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi during a police operation on March 4.

He expressed ‘remorse’ for the crime, for which he had already pleaded guilty, and said his actions had caused a great deal of upset for his family and partner.

Dave’s lawyer Elizabeth Wye added that the media attention had inflicted ‘an extra level of humiliation and embarrassment beyond that of a normal offender’ and emphasised that her client had spent nearly 10 years serving his country in the Navy.

On Tuesday, June 25, Magistrate Michael Compton handed Bashford a 12-month good behaviour bond and conditional release.

There is no suggestion Sam Frost was in any way involved in the case.

Earlier this month, Sam said she felt an urge to ‘protect Dave as much as [she] can’ because her celebrity profile means he must also live in the spotlight.

She told The Sunday Telegraph of Dave’s cocaine bust: ‘It was something that happened and now it’s public because of me.

‘He’s human, he made a mistake and he’s extremely remorseful and I think it’s unfair that it’s had to play out in the media because he doesn’t deserve it.’
