Amanda teamed her pretty Hasan Hejazi frock with a pair of barely-there gold heels, while keeping her accessories to a minimum with a selection of dainty gold chain necklaces.

The radio presenter wore her sleek blonde locks in a poker straight style and glammed up her look with a shimmering pallet of bronze make-up.

Alexa looked stylish in a flowing frilly maxi dress, which she teamed with a pale pink denim jacket and strappy espadrilles.

Amanda’s outing came after she defended her decision to post snaps of her daughters on Instagram, insisting she always checked with her husband Chris Hughes before sharing the snaps.

Speaking to presenters Gemma Rose Breger and Sam Silver, Amanda admitted her daughters don’t always view her as ‘the cool mum,’ saying: ‘I’m not a cool mum, the only time they think it’s live shows for BGT and they use me to get to David Walliams, because all their friends want their books signed.

‘I’m quite handy to roll out for ”my parent has got an interesting job.”’

‘It’s weird because I think Lexi is very young for her age, for me it’s keeping your children as young as possible. No one needs to know what happens behind closed doors. They don’t know what Fortnite is, they think it’s two weeks.’

The star then added that she was originally reluctant to post snaps of her two daughters, saying: ‘We did [wait] for a long time and then they’ve ended up all over my Instagram. For so long we did shots of them from the back and as they’ve grown up it’s a pride thing, you end up being so proud of them.

‘I listened very intently to my husband, he’s not in the public eye, he doesn’t really come to events with me, he’s very private and he wanted to keep them private but the minute he said ”lexi looks blinking gorgeous you have to post that.”

‘[Lexi] gets quite embarrassed but the youngest loves it she says ”post it mummy post it.” So they’re not private anymore.’

The co-production between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice follows the biblical story of Joseph, who is Jacob’s favourite out of his eleven sons.

Sold into slavery by his brothers out of jealousy, Joseph begins to work for Egyptian tycoon Potiphar before he’s thrown into jail after refusing his wife’s advances.

During his imprisonment, the character learns that is able to interpret dreams and his newfound skills helps him to become the Pharaoh’s right-hand man.

Jason Donovan was back in action during the opening night performance, 28 years after taking the title role.

The singer, 51, who plays the Pharaoh in the production, looked right at home as he joined co-stars Sheridan Smith, 38, who plays the narrator, and Jac Yarrow, 21, who plays Joseph.

The actor playing Pharaoh has normally donned an Elvis-style white suit with padded shoulders and flared trousers.

But the costume for Donovan’s Egyptian monarch has been stripped back to expose his abs, echoing his appearance when he played Joseph on the same stage from the summer of 1991 to early 1992.

Sheridan’s outfit was more paired back for her role as the narrator, donning a dark purple bomber jacket with matching bottoms and a purple top.

Speaking previously about returning to the show, Jason said: ‘You never know the measure of a moment until it becomes a memory, and what a moment that was for me.

‘Joseph was a ground breaker in 1991, and what a blast it will be to be back on the prestigious Palladium stage and be part of it all again with a brand new cast in this re-imagined 2019 production.’

The former Neighbours star then jokingly added: ‘I’m looking forward to breathing new life into Pharaoh and I’m so relieved he doesn’t wear a loin cloth!’

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will have a strictly limited 11-week run at the London Palladium from Thursday 27 June
