Awkward! Sofia Richie and Jenny Mollen wear same yellow blazer and gaucho pants combo at Pride bash
Sofia Richie and Jenny Mollen shared an awkward moment as they attended a Pride event in New York on Tuesday.
The model, 20, and the actress, 40, both showed up in the same outfit – a yellow blazer and matching gaucho pants from Alice +Olive By Stacey Bendet.
The clothing brand was co-hosting the party with The Trevor Project but clearly had failed to coordinate which of its outfits the celebrity guests would be wearing.
Oops: Sofia Richie and Jenny Mollen shared an awkward moment as they attended a Pride event in New York on Tuesday wearing the same designer outfit
In another blow for Mollen, who is married to actor Jason Biggs, she paired the blazer and pants with a silver chainmail camisole top that was also the choice of fellow invitee Ruby Aldridge.
Richie, however, avoided any further fashion faux pas by deciding not to wear a top or bra under the jacket.
She paired her Alice + Olivia outfit, that retails on the brand’s website for just under $700, with black and gold sandal heels.
Designer duds: Mollen’s outfit is from Alice + Olivia By Stacey Bendet that co-hosted the party with The Trevor Project. She was accompanied to the bash by husband Jason Biggs
No escape: Mollen ditched the blazer perhaps because of the clash with Richie but unfortunately the silver camisole top she had chosen was also worn by another guest
Model look: Ruby Aldridge, 27, stepped out in the Alice + Olivia chainmail tank which she paired with the clothing line’s red-patterned, high-waisted, wide-leg pants
Revealing: Richie, however, avoided any further fashion faux pas thanks to her decision not to wear a top or bra under the jacket
Pride Month recognizes the contributions of the LGBTQ communities and is celebrated in June as a way of commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City.
The Trevor Project is a nonprofit organization that offers crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth.
Alice + Olivia By Stacey Bendet has created a rainbow Pride t-shirt that’s available to buy on the brand’s website and 50 percent of net profits from sales of the tee will be donated to The Trevor Project.
