Strictly Come Dancing fans are left disappointed after meet and greet is CANCELLED

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left disappointed after being told the VIP meet and greet section of the professionals tour has been cancelled.

The cancellation news comes amid claims that the professional dancers are ‘too tired’ to meet their fans once the show finishes.

One VIP ticket holder took to Twitter after hearing the announcement to air their frustrations that they had bought the special passes as Christmas presents.

According to the Mirror fans were sent an email which said it had ‘become apparent that because of the huge intensity of the 50-plus routines in the show, the dancers need as much rest as possible between each performance.’

One angry Strictly enthusiast appeared distressed over how they would break the news to their child, writing: ‘Wondering how to tell 9yo daughter, the meet and greet isn’t happening? Her Xmas present!’

While another disappointed fan penned: ‘Gutted to get an email that the Strictly Professionals tour meet and greet has been cancelled. My mam and nana were really looking forward to it, they are gunna be well gutted, the tour due to start tomorrow, not very professional.’

A third said: ‘And just to top off my day, they’ve cancelled the meet and greet for the Strictly pro tour so now I’ll never get to meet @dbuzz6589’.

Others voiced their concern over the refund that has been offered following the cancellation, saying that it wasn’t enough to cover the disappointment.

One fan said: ‘Absolutely disgusted that the meet and greet has been cancelled on the Strictly professionals tour. A £50 refund does not even cover the disappointment that my mam will now feel after having the tickets booked almost 2 years!’

While another queried what the £50 covered, writing: ‘Hi, my mother bought 4 tickets for the strictly pro tour and received the email notifying the changes to the meet and greet and the option of £50 refund. Just to clarify will this be per ticket or per transaction?’
