Susanna Reid has admitted working with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain is like ‘looking after a toddler.’
The presenter, 48, made a glamorous appearance on Wednesday’s The One Show where she admitted the outspoken host has forced her to be ‘more opinionated.’
Susanna also told Matt Baker and Mel Giedroyc that she’s enjoyed being ‘let off the leash’ as a host of Good Morning Britain after years of staying neutral as a presenter for the BBC.

Speaking about working with Piers, Susanna explained: ‘Actually he really livens up the show and what I’ve loved about the fact that he’s there, apart from the fact that he’s really annoying, is that actually he’s made me much more opinionated.
‘He does not care what people think about what he thinks and having spent so long being very neutral about my opinions, I’m allowed to be a little bit let off the leash.
‘I always think it’s not like a cup of tea and a piece of toast in the morning it’s like a triple espresso shot in the morning and people seem to like that.’

Susanna was a guest on the show to speak about her upcoming documentary Sarah Payne: The Untold Story, which sees her interview the schoolgirl’s mother Sara almost 20 years after her murder.
Explaining her role in the special, Susanna said: ‘I didn’t know Sara well but I felt like I knew her as a friend because I was so familiar with her she’s so striking that long dark hair, we remember her from those press conferences and her appeals for info in those desperate two and a half weeks just touched the hearts of a nation.
‘Sara is such a brave determined woman, but I think we overlook she exhumed some of her grief. She campaigned successfully for Sarah’s law to allow parents to have a little more information about sex offenders living locally.
‘Part of the purpose of this programme is to let a little bit of the story go and allow the identities that they were all given as kind of siblings it’s to allow them a little bit of breathing space and tell their story in their own words.’
