Amanda Keller was recently targeted in a smear campaign by comedian and Gold Logie rival Tom Gleeson ahead of the TV night of nights.
But despite reports The Living Room host was ‘struggling’ with his tactics, Amanda said the Hard Quiz host was just playing ‘the game’ as a nominee.
Talking on Channel 10’s The Project on Wednesday, the 57-year-old comedian said she wasn’t phased by Tom’s smear campaigns against her and is letting the fate rest in the public’s hands.
‘I’ve seen a couple of articles that have said I’m very upset by Tom, and that’s actually not the case,’ she told the panel.
‘It’s not as controversial or contentious I think as everyone thinks it is, we’re just all in the soup, going about being nominees – it’s a public vote so you can’t argue with that.’
‘On the night the person with the most votes wins and that’s the game and it’s as straight forward as that,’ she added.

Her calm and collected approach to the upcoming awards night on Sunday is in stark contrast to recent reports that suggest she has been ‘struggling’ with Tom’s competitive campaign approach.
‘It’s hard, because Tom is playing a different game, and that’s what I’m finding I’m struggling with to the honest,’ she said, News.com.au reported earlier this week.
‘It’s always been that the nominees are a happy soup and I still want us to be a happy soup, there’s no need to make it personal and pick us all off,’ she said.

Speaking to The Courier Mail on Sunday, Amanda also revealed she was refusing to be photographed with Tom in the lead-up to the awards night.
‘I have been asked to do a number of pictures with him arm wrestling or with the boxing gloves on and I have chosen not to do any of that,’ she said.
Amanda’s comments come after Tom was accused of ‘bullying’ nominees by Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac.
The Living Room: Amanda is a much-loved host on the successful Channel 10 program – which has won a Logie for Most Popular Lifestyle Program for four years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018)
‘I love all of the other nominees except Tom Gleeson because I think that he’s been bullying people,’ Sam told Fitzy & Wippa on Tuesday.
However, on Tuesday, the ABC host revealed he’s not too concerned about what his competitors have to say and has admitted his only focus is to win the Gold Logie.
‘When you’re the top dog everyone wants to have a crack at you. They’re probably just jealous my show rates more than theirs,’ he told News.com.au.
