‘Looks like they’ve done market research and taken Honey Badger away’: Has Nick Cummins’ Tradie underwear ad been axed from The Bachelor prime spot?

Over the last two weeks, reality TV fans have noticed that a series of commercials which previously featured Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins stopped airing during the The Bachelor‘s prime TV spot.

It seems that the ad campaign has sparked a series of mixed reactions from fans of the rose-gifting dating series, with many taking to social media to vent their frustration.

Many were annoyed at seeing the sportman’s face back on the television screens after he brutally dumped both Sophie Tieman and Brittany Hockley during last year’s shock finale.

‘Seeing the Honey B is giving me mad PTSD,’ one fan wrote.

Another tweeted: ‘You know the Bachelor is back on when Nick Cummins is back doing underwear ads for Tradie.’

The campaign, which launched in July, sees Nick star alongside Australian skier Danielle Scott and rugby player Charlotte Caslick rep the new ‘Aussie fit’ campaign.

However over the last two weeks, Nick has been missing from ads, with many suggesting his were pulled for ratings.

One user wrote: ‘[It] Looks like they’ve done market research and taken honey badger away’.

Another tweeted: ‘Feels like they’ve undergone some market research and decided against putting the Honey Badger in any more of these Tradie commercials.’

However, his agent told the Daily Mail Australia on Friday that their client [Tradie] decided to focus on Danielle and Charlotte individually, as Nick’s new ad was set to air on TV on Sunday.

The series of ads were filmed across various spots in Australia including Broken Hill, Palm Beach and Kangaroo Valley.

Nick had faced public scrutiny after he failed to pick either finalist, Brittany or Sophie during last year’s shock finale.

He has largely kept a low profile since the show aired, spending some time overseas.
