But few would know Ben Unwin forged out a career as a lawyer once he left the long-running Channel Seven drama back in 2005.
And on Wednesday, his former law firm paid tribute to their former employee after his tragic death at the age of 41, with Ben having worked as a senior solicitor at the company.

‘The condolences and prayers of Whitelaw McDonald go out to the family of Mr Ben Unwin,’ John McDonald, Partner at Whitelaw McDonald, told Yahoo Lifestyle on Wednesday.
‘Ben was a well-respected colleague and lawyer. Ben’s achievements in the field of law and media were exemplary and reflected well upon him and his family.
‘This marks a great loss to both the Media and Legal Profession.’

Tributes have been flooding in since Ben’s shocking death.
A Channel Seven spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that Ben’s ‘time on Home and Away is remembered with respect and affection.’
They added: ‘Ben made many friends during his time on the show. We send deepest condolences to his friends and family.’

On Tuesday, Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou, whose character Leah Patterson-Baker had a relationship with Jesse, led the celebrity tributes to Ben.
She told Daily Mail Australia: ‘I just woke up to the tragic news of Ben’s passing, my heart goes out to his family.’
Veteran actress Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts, added: ‘What a terrible tragedy. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.’

On Wednesday, actor Kimberly Cooper, who also played his love interest Gypsy on the show, took to Instagram to share her grief.
‘We had years of laughter, be it giggles on set trying to get through scenes as lovers or doubled over belly laughs at the pubs after work,’ said Kimberly, 39.
‘I will be sad for now, but I promise to tell stories of great joy about our times together.’
Ben was found dead at his home last week. He was 41 years old.
