Justin Bieber has been candid about his severe ongoing battle with depression

In fact, his new song with Ed Sheeran, I Don’t Care, dropped just this morning, where he opens up about his ‘crippling anxiety’ and the importance of a support system.

And his support system seems to be working, at least today. On Friday afternoon, the 25-year-old musician stepped out with a smile as he was seen walking in New York.

Bieber donned a pair of black Vans trainers on his feet and a warm green beanie on his head as he carried a pair of board shorts.

The newlywed has been outspoken about his struggle with mental illness, including a lyric in his new song with about his ‘crippling anxiety.’

The song is about someone at a party that they’d rather ‘not be at’ because they feel like a ‘nobody,’ and like they ‘don’t belong.’

‘With all these people all around I’m crippled with anxiety / But I’m told it’s where I’m s’posed to be / You know what? It’s kinda crazy ’cause I really don’t mind / And you make it better like that,’ Bieber sings.

But then, someone joins the lonesome party goer and makes everything feel so much better.

The Love Yourself singer recently opened up about his depression in an interview with Voguesaying it got really bad on tour which is why he had to press pause on his concerts.

‘I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about’ the pop star admitted. ‘I was lonely. I needed some time.’

And as for who Bieber’s support system is, his wife Hailey Bieber, 22, is right there for him.

Just this morning she posted an excerpt of a poem by Ángel Lindberg Vázquez on her Instagram story that showed off her love for her ‘one.’

‘When you find your one you’ll understand why the rest never got past second place,’ the snapshot read.

The A-List couple got married in a courthouse ceremony last September, and they’ve pushed off planning an extravagant ceremony until Justin’s mental health has improved.

‘Hailey isn’t putting any pressure on him at all,’ a source told People. ‘She only wants him to focus on his mental health.’
