Bill Murray and Rashida Jones take a ride in a vintage convertible as they shoot new Sofia Coppola’s flick On The Rocks

Bill Murray and Rashida Jones took a cruise around Manhattan in a vintage convertible while filming their latest project on Sunday night.

Shooting a night scene for their comedy drama On The Rocks, Murray, 68 and Rashida, 43, looked to be in the middle of a more serious scene on 10th Avenue, Chelsea. 

Murray sported a flat cap in the driving seat of the red Alfa Romeo while Jones sat beside him wearing a striped scarf.

The movie reunites Murray and director Sofia Coppola who worked together on Lost In Translation in 2003 earning him a Best Actor nomination.

More recently she directed the actor’s 2017 Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas.

On The Rocks is the latest film from Coppola and follows young mother (Jones) who reconnects with her larger-than-life playboy father (Murray) on an adventure through New York City.

It also stars Jenny Slate, Jessica Henwick and Marlon Wayans.

On The Rocks is the first movie from Apple and A24’s new partnership for streaming on Apple’s new service Apple TV+ which is launching in the fall.

Jones started filming earlier this month just weeks after news of the passing of her actress mother Peggy Lipton who died age 72 following a 17-year battle with stage 3 colon cancer. 

‘She made her journey peacefully with her daughters and nieces by her side. We feel so lucky for every moment we spent with her,’ Jones and her older sister Kidada said in a statement to the LA Times.

‘We can’t put all of our feelings into words right now, but we will say: Peggy was and will always be our beacon of light, both in this world and beyond. She will always be a part of us.
