Brie Larson showcases her musical skills as she plays an acoustic Ariana Grande’s My Everything

She’s riding high as Captain Marvel in the smash hit movie Avengers: Endgame. 

And Brie Larson was proving there is no end to her talents on Friday. 

The 29-year-old actress sang and played an acoustic version of Ariana Grande’s 2014 song My Everything.

The Academy Award winner was keeping it chilled in a black hoodie and leggings as she played guitar and sang tunefully. 

She appeared to go make up free, in the short clip which was posted to her Instagram stories.

On another video she noted her fandom for the thank u next star, writing: ‘@arianagrande stan forever.’  

‘I cried enough tears to see my own reflection in them,’ she is seen singing, continuing: ‘and then it was clear, I can’t deny I really miss him. To think that I was wrong, I guess you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone. Pain is just a consequence of love. I’m saying sorry for the sake of us.’ 

The actress also noted that she didn’t have a capo for the guitar, so the song wasn’t sung in the correct key.

Brie has prior form as a singer, as preceding her acting career, she had a brief pop career in the early 2000s.  

She released She Said in 2005, when she was only 16; it was her highest-charting single from her debut album Finally Out Of P.E. 

Brie was more recently named one of the 100 Most Influential People by Time Magazine. 

The star began her association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe with her solo film, Captain Marvel, which was set in the 1990s and became Marvel Studios’ first woman-led film.

Her superhero origin story Captain Marvel was, up until the release of Avengers: Endgame, the biggest movie of the year.

Captain Marvel’s domestic take ($415.9 million) and worldwide gross ($1.112 billion) were the highest of the year, but they’ve since been surpassed by Avengers: Endgame. 

Larson also recently starred in and made her directorial debut with the Netflix original film Unicorn Store, starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson.

The Sacramento, California native will next be seen in Just Mercy, starring alongside Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx.

Just Mercy is slated for release on January 17, 2020, marking her third film with writer-director Destin Daniel Cretton, following Short Term 12 and The Glass Castle.
