On the day, the Hollywood heavyweight – who is based in Byron Bay on the NSW north coast – looked dapper in a suit.

‘Its an interesting feeling after End Game because it was like where do you go from there, but it’s about making great films and to still be a part of the Marvel/Disney family and to be able to make another film is fantastic,’ Chris said at the press conference, with filming believed to take place at Fox Studios.

As The Sydney Morning Herald reports, it comes after the Federal government dipped into its $140 million funding pool for major Hollywood films.

‘There’s such an incredible work ethic here. Being able to stay home and put the kids to bed in their own home as opposed to dragging them across the globe to various hotels is [also] hugely important. My wife is certainly happy,’ Chris reportedly said.

Thor: Ragnarok was filmed in Queensland.

It comes after it was revealed at the weekend by director Taika Waititi at the San Diego Comic Con, that Natalie Portman is returning to the franchise to be the first female Thor.

Confirming the news with dramatic effect during the panel, Natalie came out on stage and was given the Thor hammer, which got a rousing response from the adoring fans.

‘I’ve always had a little hammer envy,’ she told the audience, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The fourth instalment in the franchise is based on Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor comics, which introduced readers to the female Thor.
