He got his big acting break on Home and Away before achieving global fame as an Avengers action star.

And on Wednesday, Chris Hemsworth looked very inch the leading man as he posed for photos at a TAG Heuer watch launch in Sydney.

Clad in a stylish ensemble, the 35-year-old donned a grey button-up shirt, a pair of khaki trousers and a brown suede jacket.

To complete his look, he slipped on a pair of suede ankle boots and a pair of tinted aviator sunglasses. 

Posing in front of a white seaplane, the Hollywood actor was all smiles as he showcased a watch from the luxury brand’s latest collection.   

It comes after it was announced that the hunky Australian star will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Thor actor – who went from a small-time Australian soap star to Marvel Universe superhero – is among the next group of 35 celebrities selected for the honour. 

The announcement was made by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Selection Committee on Thursday.

Chris joins 34 other high-profile figures from television, film and music, including: Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Elvis Costello and Cindy Crawford.

Others being recognised for their achievements in the entertainment industry include Christina Applegate, Dr Phil McGraw and even Batman.  

Dates for the star ceremonies have yet to be scheduled.   

Chris has come a long way since leaving Australian soap Home and Away in 2007. 

He is best known for playing superhero Thor in the Avengers franchise and most recently starred in Men in Black: International. 

He is now one of Hollywood’s most bankable and highest-paid stars, with his films usually raking in more than $3billion at the box office.

Chris no longer lives in LA, having moved to the Australian coastal town of Byron Bay with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and their three children in 2014.
