How to get a body like Thor: Chris Hemsworth challenges his own personal trainer to a high-intensity workout – and proves he’s a real-life superhero in the process
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither were Chris Hemsworth‘s rock-hard abs.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the Avengers star shared a video of himself challenging his personal trainer during a high-intensity session.
In footage captured at his Byron Bay mansion, Chris looks like a real-life superhero as he participates in the so-called ‘devil’s workout’.

The video shows Chris challenging his trainer to stay ahead of him in a circuit session, before his trainer collapses in exhaustion by the end.
‘This is the devil’s workout, six rounds, six reps, six exercises. I’m chasing the big dog. Let’s go!’ says the trainer at the start of the clip.
Chris then launches into an epic circuit of pull ups, squats, ball slams and barbell exercises, with his friend trailing behind trying to keep up the pace.

Awkward! In a hilarious moment, Chris goes for a fist bump while his trainer went for a high five and the pair missed each other’s hands
In the caption, Chris revealed there was ‘no rest between individual exercises’ but there was the option of ‘a one-minute rest in-between each round’.
The two men were already puffed out by the end of the first repetition, and visibly struggled to fist bump each other.
Eventually, Chris was triumphant in the challenge and his trainer was shown collapsed on the grass nearby, panting heavily.

Chris’ workout took place on the grounds of his multi-storey mansion in Byron Bay.
The $20million property actually hasn’t been completed yet, but it is getting close. It’s believed Chris and his family have already moved in.
The latest aerial photos show the garage and studio are nearing completion while a rooftop infinity pool has been filled in time for summer.
