It’s unclear if they were discussing a future project, or if they were simply catching up.

Chris has plenty to be happy about these days, as his latest film, Avengers: Endgame, has now become the highest grossing movie of all time.

Marvel chief Kevin Feige and his team explained at Comic Con International over the weekend that the film had surpassed Avatar to become the highest-grossing movie of all time.

They explained it had accumulated USD $2.7892 billion since its release in April, compared to Avatar’s record of USD $2.7897 billion since 2009.

Although it stood $500,000 behind when they made the announcement at Comic Con, they said it would surpass this soon, which it now has.

Chris’ Thor co-star, Natalie Portman, is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Thor: Love And Thunder and will portray a female version of the God, it was revealed on Saturday.

Director Taika Waititi revealed Natalie’s new role during the film’s panel at San Diego Comic Con as he symbolically passed on Thor’s Mjolnir hammer to her, and said she would star alongside Chris and Tessa Thompson.

Confirming the news with dramatic effect during the panel, Natalie came out on stage and was given the Thor hammer, which got a rousing response from the adoring fans.

‘I’ve always had a little hammer envy,’ she told the audience, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The fourth installment in the franchise is based on Jason Aaron’s The Mighty Thor comics, which introduced readers to the female Thor.

The actress appeared in the Thor and Thor: The Dark World, but didn’t appear in the franchise’s third instalment, Thor: Ragnarok.
