Chris Ramsey’s wife Rosie has joked the comedian has already succumbed to the Strictly Come Dancing curse just hours after he was one of the first celebrities confirmed for this year’s line-up.
The comic, 32, appeared alongside England star David James, 49, and EastEnders actress Emma Barton, 42, who have also joined the line-up, on The One Show on Wednesday.
Rosie took to Instagram Stories after his appearance and said in a light-hearted video that Chris had promised to call her after the show but had failed to do so.

In another clip, where she wrote the word ‘CURSE’ on the screen, Rosie added: ‘He was on the One Show half an hour ago. It’s started already. I knew it would happen.’
However, Rosie reassured her followers all was well with the couple later with another post.
She said: “He rang, our marriage is safe. I’m really looking forward to having something to actually do on a Saturday night.

‘As always your support for stuff is incredible! Feel like it’s me doing it! (Wish it was. Not bitter. Bit Bitter. It’s all good).’
Rosie shared a snap of a close-up of her right eye opened wide and wrote: ‘Definitely not jealous, Really, really proud So happy for him. No jealousy or bitterness over here. None at all. I just won’t have it.’
The actress then shared a video clip of herself rolling around on the ground and striking a few dance moves and wrote: ‘If anything does happen though.. I’m TOTALLY available. Happy and willing to cancel ALL plans @bbcstrictly.’

During his appearance on The One Show, TV host Chris said he was happy to be taking part in a show that is age-appropriate for his whole family.
‘As a comedian there are not so many things all the family, including the kids, can watch me on. But this is something everyone can watch.’
He revealed he had ‘told everyone’ he was doing it, including three of his friends while drunk.
He said: ‘I told three of my mates on a stag do, but thankfully they forgot!’
Marriage: However, Rosie reassured her followers all was well with the couple later with another post (pictured in April 2019)
Chris added: ‘I’m both excited and absolutely terrified to be doing the show. You will not find me on the dance floor at parties, you will find me at the buffet table. All night.
‘At my wedding I danced with my wife; that one song took about six months practice, and I definitely stood on her feet a couple of times.
‘So I’m looking forward to the possibility of making a fool of myself in front of millions of people… there better be a buffet after the live shows.’
