‘Dark horse’ Nikki Ferris is tipped to WIN The Bachelor

Is she the dark horse this year? Nikki Ferris is tipped to WIN The Bachelor – as a former contestant predicts that the quirky brunette could end up engaged to Matt Agnew

She’s the quirky brunette who rocked up to The Bachelor mansion in a cheerleader’s outfit.

And while Nikki Ferris has largely flown under the radar this season, she’s now been tipped to win Matt Agnew’s heart by a former contestant.

Cassandra Mamone, who was dumped on Thursday’s episode of the show, told The Advertiser that she predicts that Nikki could be the one to walk away with the astrophysicist in the end.

She also said that frontrunners Abbie Chatfield and Chelsie McLeod also have a strong shot at winning the season.

Despite Cassandra’s confidence in Nikki’s romantic victory, the reliable Sportsbet currently has the 24-year-old student at extremely long odds.

The bubbly brunette is currently ranked third to last, just ahead of Nichole Wood and Mary Viturino.

Rumours began swirling Chelsie had won after the Herald Sun released a video of the blonde meeting Matt, 31, at the cocktail party, prior to the show premiering.

Chelsie brought along a red box containing a temporary tattoo of the chemical structure of oxytocin, aka the love chemical.

The blonde chemical engineer, along with Abbie and country gal Elly Miles, seem to share the most chemistry on-screen with Matt so far.

However, Nikki emerged as a dark horse following Wednesday’s episode, when she won Matt over with her endearing sense of humour during an intimate conversation.

After impressing the astrophysicist, he handed the quirky beauty a rose and sent Brianna Ferrante home.

The Bachelor continues Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
