And now Deborah Knight’s gruelling work schedule has been revealed.

The 46-year-old journalist not only works in the morning on the breakfast program  but also presents Nine’s 6pm evening news bulletin, with claims that it’s a ‘very clever strategy’ from the network to boost ratings for Today.

As News.com.au reports, Deborah often has team production meetings after Today, and helms the evening news on weekends, giving her a seven-day work week. 

The blonde media personality also regularly fills in for Peter Overton on the evening news bulletin on weekdays, when he is on leave.

She is said to wake up at 3am each morning before hosting today from 5:30am, which an unidentified rival TV personality said makes them ‘exhausted just thinking about it.’

Meanwhile, media consultant Steve Allen told the publication that it’s a ‘very clever strategy’ from Nine to try and boost Today’s low ratings, by drawing some of the bulletin audience to the breakfast program.  

‘It’s a very clever strategy and it should, over the midterm, produce some ratings dividends. Today certainly needs it,’ he said.

Meanwhile, it was revealed last week that Deborah and Karl Sefanovic will both appear on Steve Price’s new radio show.  

Fans have been yearning for Karl to return to broadcast since he was swapped out for Deborah, 46, on Nine’s breakfast show at the start of this year.

The 44-year-old father will be a regular contributor on The Steve Price Show.

Awkwardly, his Today show successor Deborah will also be a regular contributor on the new midday radio program. 

The former Today show co-hosts haven’t been seen together publicly since Karl’s ousting on the morning show.
