Demi Lovato seems to shade Taylor Swift as she reveals she’s boycotting MTV Video Music Awards
Demi Lovato appeared to throw shade at Taylor Swift on Monday during the broadcast of the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.
The 25-year-old singer posted to Instagram Story right after Taylor, 29, picked up the coveted Video Of The Year award.
‘I skipped the VMA’s for a REASON,’ Demi posted in white letters on a black background.

‘Well that and I just hate awards shows,’ she added with a crying happy face emoji.
Demi sided with her new manager Scooter Braun, 38, after his Ithaca Holdings earlier this year acquired Big Machine Label Group and Taylor’s music catalog.
Taylor railed against the $300 million purchase in a June 30 post on Tumblr and accused Scooter of ‘incessant, manipulative bullying’ for years.
Demi signed with Scooter in May and defended him on social media after Taylor blasted him.

The Sorry Not Sorry singer wrote on Instagram Story: ‘I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man.’
Taylor won the Video of the Year and the Video For Good award during the awards ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Demi won the award for Best Video With A Message at the 2012 MTV VMAs for Skyscraper.

Taylor has won 10 MTV awards including Best Female Video in 2009 for You Belong With Me and Video Of The Year in 2015 for Bad Blood.
Demi released her last album Tell Me You Love Me in September 2017.
Her manager Scooter also represents Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Carly Rae Jepsen among other artists.
