Going, going… gone! Double Bay home Delta Goodrem bought last year only to reject in the cooling-off period finally sells for a jaw dropping price
A lavish Double Bay home Delta Goodrem agreed to purchase last year – only reject during the cooling-off period – has sold this week for a street record price.
The Born to Try songstress was in final negotiations with Biller Property earlier this year when she decided to opt out of the deal at the last minute.
Real estate agent Paul Biller confirmed to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that Delta had intended to buy the home on 46 Epping Road but changed her mind.

While he remained tight-lipped on the specifics of the ‘Delta deal’, Mr Biller said the singer was keen but ideally wanted to buy an apartment in her current building.
He said it was only after she received a phone call from one of her neighbours, who wanted to sell their apartment to her, that Delta rescinded on the Epping Road deal.
Mr Biller said he couldn’t reveal the property’s sale price, but he confirmed Tuesday’s sale exceeded the previous street record of $4.9million.

Despite going back on the deal, Delta had apparently fallen in the love with the home, which is located in the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
After backing out of the deal, she reportedly bought a seventh-floor apartment at The Residence, overlooking Hyde Park, for $4.825million.
One of the features that attracted Delta to the Epping Road address was its spiral staircase, located in the centre of the open-plan living area.
Mr Biller said the beautifully crafted staircase makes a statement that no doubt added value when the property was eventually sold.
In fact, it was the staircase that won over the property’s current owner, Toula Cassen, who bought it for $3.8million back in 2014.

‘It’s just so architecturally beautiful – I’d been looking for something like that in a property,’ Ms Cassen told The Wentworth Courier in May.
‘It felt like I was going to be living in a gallery.’
Mr Biller said the luxurious home, which is about six years old, is quite rare for the street given that it has five bedrooms.
