Action movie hero Dwayne Johnson, star of the Jumanji and Fast and Furious franchises, has topped Forbes’ annual list of the world’s highest-paid actors.

Johnson, the former wrestler once known as The Rock, pulled in $89.4 million from June 2018 to June 2019, the magazine said.

According to the site, he has a formula for his salary in which he collects an upfront amount and then also requests a percentage of the pool of money for the profits.

For upcoming his movie, Jumanji: The Next Level he reportedly received $23.5 million up front with a 15% pool from the franchise. 

The previous film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle racked in $962.1 million worldwide.

The Rock also gets a pay out of $700,000 an episode for his HBO series, Ballers as well as royalties from his clothing and headphone line with Under Armour.

Coming in at number two and three on the list are Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr.

Chris Hemsworth capped at $76.4 million and his Avengers co-star followed closely behind with $66 million.

The Iron Man star reportedly gets $20 million upfront and about 8% of the pool for his role in the Marvel series which amounted to nearly $55 million for his latest role in Avengers: End Game. 

The movie grossed at $2.796 billion at the box office.

Bradley Cooper holds his spot at number six on the list with Akshay Kumar at number four and Jackie Chan at number five.

The actor has his role in A Star is Born to thank for his $57 million dollar salary. He earned 10% of his funds for voicing Rocket Racoon in the Avengers. 

And the rest came from his award-winning movie with Lady Gaga that he directed, produced, co-wrote, and starred in.

He didn’t take the upfront salary and put it into the budget of the film and for his co-star Lady Gaga to have a good salary.

This bet worked out well for the star when the movie grossed at $436 million worldwide thanks to its $36 million budget. This left Cooper with about $40 million.

Rounding up the list comes Adam Sandler at number six with $57 million in earnings.

Chris Evans $43.5 million, Paul Rudd $41 million, and Will Smith at number ten with $35 million.
