She’s known for her body-positive Instagram posts, since losing a whopping 30kg on The Biggest Loser in 2006.

And in a column penned for news.com.au on Saturday, Fiona Falkiner revealed how age plays a role in self-confidence and how she views her body.

‘The older I get, the easier it is to accept my cellulite, stretch marks and all the other lumps and bumps,’ the 36-year-old wrote.

Fiona said she would look back at photos when she was half her size, and remember ‘tearing’ herself apart.

‘Looking back in the mirror, I would tear myself apart with so much negativity.’

The blonde beauty, who recently became engaged to girlfriend Hayley Willis, says she feels more confident in her skin, the older she gets.

‘The older I get, the less I care about what others think of me, and I stop comparing my body to others.’

Fiona first shot to fame as a participant on the first season of The Biggest Loser back in 2006, before returning to the spotlight in 2015 as the show’s official host.

After losing 30kg on the show, Fiona assumed her life would be perfect.

She told Jules Sebastian on her YouTube series Tea with Jules in March 2017: ‘I was struggling with self-acceptance, low-esteem, I was really just not a happy person, and I blamed all of that on my size.

‘I thought that if I was skinny, life would be perfect,’ Fiona continued.

It wasn’t until she dealt with the underlying issues that Fiona came to a place of self-acceptance.

‘I made a pact with myself that I’m going to take the pressure off myself… I’m going to find out in life what are the things in my life that make me truly happy,’ she said.
