Alongside a photo of the pair kissing, Matthew wrote at length: ‘Six months ago was our first kiss. Six months ago was the start of our beautiful relationship. It’s been an amazing six months, filled with laughter, love and adventure.

‘But it’s not been all smooth sailing. We’ve gone through more things in our first six months that some couples might in there first couple of years.

‘Even though there’s been times when it’s been difficult, we’ve worked through them. We’ve communicated, we’ve both seen how much we love and care for one another that we don’t want to give up on each other.

‘If something’s worth having, it’s worth fighting for, worth working for, worth putting yourself outside where you feel comfortable in order to rise to the challenge. –

‘I can safely say that this woman is worth it. I’m so grateful for her coming into my life when she did and I can’t wait to see what adventures the future brings,’ he concluded.

Speaking to Sunshine Coast Daily recently, Matthew revealed he’s ‘crazy’ about his new woman – but admitted the media scrutiny is putting a ‘strain’ on their romance.

‘It’s been months since the experiment finished for me. Since wrapping filming I’ve met a girl,’ Matthew told the publication.

‘I’m crazy about her. I’ve never been with someone who makes time disappear when I’m with her.

‘And whilst reliving the experiment on TV and in the media is certainly putting strain on this new relationship, we’re working through it and I’m optimistic for the future.’
