Happy B’day Birdie! George and Joanna Burgess celebrate their daughter’s 1st birthday…and it appears sister-in-law Phoebe did NOT attend amid persistent feud rumours between the two women
It’s long been rumoured that Joanna Burgess and her sister-in-law Phoebe aren’t the best of friends.
And over the weekend, the apparent ‘feud’ between the two women seemed to continue, as Phoebe did not appear to be invited to Joanna and her NRL star husband George’s daughter Birdie’s first birthday.
Phoebe and her husband Sam Burgess, who is also George’s brother, were noticeably absent from pictures of the happy day, nor did the fashionista, who is very active on Instagram, post any on social media.

Daddy’s little girl: Joanna posted a slew of happy snaps on social media, including this sweet one of George cuddling his little angel
Joanna did however upload a slew of snaps of the memorable milestone, including a lovely family portrait of herself posing with husband George, their son Boston, two, Birdie and newborn daughter, Blainey Ann Burgess.
‘A special day celebrating Birdie’s first year of life. We love you darling girl x,’ she wrote in the caption alongside it.
Rumours of a feud between Joanna and Phoebe began last year, when Joanna shared an Instagram post about the Burgess family’s annual Christmas lunches, leading to speculation that she had taken a ‘swipe’ at Phoebe.
In a post shared to Instagram, Joanna had claimed the get-together, which took place at a restaurant in Watson’s Bay, ‘was the best one yet’.

Phoebe wasn’t pictured in the family photo, leading fans to wonder whether Joanna’s post was a thinly-veiled swipe at her sister-in-law.
But Joanna clarified in another Instagram post earlier this year: ‘It is not in my nature to take a dig at someone.
‘Phoebe has never joined the Burgess side for previous Christmas festivities. Therefore it couldn’t possibly be aimed at her!’
She continued: ‘My last year’s Christmas upload I used a similar caption as it was our son’s first Christmas. This year we had our daughter join the three of us, hence it being the “best one yet”‘.
Joanna later deleted the post.

In January, Daily Mail Australia revealed that Phoebe had unfollowed Joanna and George Burgess on Instagram.
Shortly afterwards, Joanna likewise unfollowed Phoebe.
That same month, journalist Phoebe ‘liked’ an Instagram post from her manager Sharon Finnigan, which read: ‘It’s funny how you’re nice to my face. It’s hilarious how you talk s**t behind my back. And it’s downright comical that you think I’m unaware.’
The feud came after a brief split between Phoebe and husband Sam Burgess, just three weeks after the birth of their second child, Billy Mark, in December last year.
