And touching down on the Gold Coast ahead of the big event, were Gold Logie nominees Tom Gleeson, Amanda Keller and Waleed Aly.

The three TV stars are set to go head-to-head, but showed no signs of pre-show nerves as they flashed huge smiles on their way out of Gold Coast Airport terminal on Saturday.

Comedian Tom is probably this year’s most controversial star as his nomination for the Gold Logie has caused much debate.

Shrugging off the frenzy, however, he appeared calm and collected while seemingly clutching onto his suit for Sunday’s ceremony.

Casually dressed in jeans and a tan leather jacket, Tom donned a baseball cap and appeared in high spirits as he joined a slew of other celebrity arrivals.

Among them was his competition, Amanda Keller, who has been nominated for the Gold Logie for the second year running for her work on The Living Room.

She stood out from the crowd in a zebra-printed shirt that she teamed together with dark jeans and a leather coat with shearling collar.

Sporting studded boots and a dewy make-up look, Amanda confidently strode out of the terminal with her red case in her hand.

Her appearance comes just days after she was vocal about her fellow nominee Gleeson and admitted she is ‘struggling’ with his political-style campaign to win.

The Hard Quiz host has been seen jokingly trashing his fellow nominees in mock ads and it hasn’t left Amanda impressed.

She told News.com.au: ‘Tom is playing a different game, and that’s what I’m finding I’m struggling with to the honest.

‘It’s always been that the nominees are a happy soup, and I still want us to be a happy soup, there’s no need to make it personal and pick us all off.’

Meanwhile, Waleed Aly arrived into the Gold Coast alongside his co-star on The Project, Peter Helliar.

He was smartly dressed in a navy blazer, printed t-shirt and dark jeans and seemed preoccupied with a phone call moments after landing.

2019 saw Waleed land his third Gold Logie nomination in four years and he actually took home the prized trophy in 2016.

Speaking to TV Week, he said of his nomination this year: ‘I’ve always held the view that I’m not designed to be a Logie winner.

‘Logies go to certain kinds of people and I’m not one of them, so it’s a genuine surprise each time.’
