He’s the Australian golfing legend who has found international success both in sport and business. 

And this week, Greg Norman admitted that’s it’s all down to him believing in the ‘American dream.’

The 64-year-old made the claims when speaking to Haute Living magazine of which he covers, and even strips off and goes shirtless for.

‘I do think I’m American in my business philosophy,’ Greg said, who is nicknamed ‘The Shark.’

While he said he still loves Australia and wants to move back home, he admitted he could never have found as much success Down Under as he has found in America. 

‘There is nowhere else in the world I could have started and done what I’ve done,’ Greg said.

Greg – who is based in Florida in the US – added: ‘Here in the United States, with the reach it’s got and the reputation it has for allowing people to chase their dreams, it was doable… And I’m not afraid to go after things.’ 

Greg – who reportedly has a net worth of $300 million – has his own wine brand, golf course design firm, his own clothing line and even a real estate development firm.

The sports star said added that his new business and travel interests have taken over his ‘desire’ to play golf, which put him on the map.

‘I don’t like to hit golf balls anymore,’ Greg said. 

In the spread for the publication, Greg can be seen posing at a stunning (US) $11 million mansion in Florida. 

On the cover, he wears a white Louis Vuitton suit and a luxury watch as he smiles. 

He can also be seen in the publication relaxing on a sunbed by a pool and even going shirtless, showing off his washboard abs. 

Greg is considered one of the greatest golf players of all time, who previously spent 331 weeks as world no. 1. 

He earned his Shark nickname after playing at the 1981 Masters.
