James, whose full name is James Charles Dickinson, started vlogging in 2015 from his parents’ home in New York.
His teenage fanbase steadily grew and he became ‘Internet famous’ for his unique makeup style consisting of glitter, bold contouring and neon eyelids.
In 2016, James experienced his first taste of fame when photos of him bringing a professional ring light to his senior prom went viral.
A month later, he made history as the first ever male ambassador for U.S. cosmetics giant CoverGirl, starring alongside Katy Perry in a TV commercial.

The teenage entrepreneur recently launched his own makeup range, The James Charles Palette, in collaboration with Morphe.
