Amy shared a very telling before-and-after photo of herself posing in activewear to Instagram, demonstrating just how easy it is to fake a ‘fitness journey’ post.

In the first image, the 28-year-old musician displayed a toned stomach with visible muscle definition. In the second, she looked less athletic but still healthy and slim.

She revealed that the secret to Insta-perfect gym selfies isn’t really a secret at all.

‘Don’t compare yourself to those gym selfies guys. A lot of tensing and posing goes into them,’ she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag: ‘Kiss my fat a**’.

The refreshingly honest post was well-received by Amy’s followers, many of whom thanked her for holding Instagram models to account.
