Iskra Lawrence did her bit to support the Women’s World Cup over the weekend as she was seen playing football in New York City.

The model – who recently revealed she spent years in a ‘negative relationship’ with her size – exuded confidence in a tiny denim pair of shorts and a white crop-top, accentuating her curvaceous frame.

The British native was throwing her support behind the England Women’s National Team ahead of their match as she hit the AstroTurf for a kick about, her long blonde locks fluttering in the June breeze.

On Friday she was seen joining hundreds of New Yorkers for a yoga session in Times Square to celebrate the summer solstice.

Her recent exercise blitz comes after the model, 28, told Grazia Magazine: ‘It took me a long time to get comfortable with my body.’

The publication’s accompanying photoshoot saw the model look full of confidence as she posed in skimpy swimwear for a stunning beach shoot.

But Iskra, who has hosted a TED talk and inspired a legion of loyal social media followers, admitted in the accompanying interview that she has struggled with her looks in the past.

‘Working in the modelling industry from the age of 13, I was constantly told I was too big, which was reaffirmed when the clothes didn’t fit me,’ she explained.

‘That made me believe that there was something wrong with my body, leading me to have a very negative relationship with my size.

‘It took a long time to heal that relationship.

‘Thank goodness I know today that I need to be grateful for this able body that I have, and appreciate it for all the things that it enables me to do!’

Earlier this year, Iskra was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 for Europe within the Art & Culture category.
