Her son Jaden Smith has been cast as the younger version of Kanye West in the 41-year-old rapper’s new TV series, it was announced this week.
And Jada Pinkett Smith looked every inch the proud mother on Thursday, as she joined the 20-year-old musician for lunch in Melbourne‘s CBD.
The 47-year-old kept things casual for their family outing, rocking a studded Western-inspired denim shirt and matching jeans.

Letting her statement co-ords do all the talking, Jada layered a rainbow-motif T-shirt underneath and finished the look with Nike Cortez trainers.
The actress wore her blonde cropped hair off her face and shielded her features behind gold square-frame shades.
Jaden, meanwhile, stayed true to his quirky sense of style in hot-pink jogging bottoms and a yellow T-shirt.
Jada jetted into Melbourne earlier this week to support her son, who has been performing around Australia as a support act for Post Malone.

He sparked concern when he opened Post’s Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday with a bandage on his left hand.
Despite the mysterious patch, Jaden put on a lively show, taking to Instagram on the night to share a video of himself hyping up the crowd.
The rapper hit the headlines this week when it was announced that he’s teaming up with Kanye West for a TV show.

The Ye rapper, 41, is executive producing a Showtime series titled Omniverse which will star Smith as ‘an alternate reality Kanye West.’
Showtime has ordered a script for the series which will also be co-executive produced by Smith and Scooter Braun through their production companies.
According to Variety, Omniverse is pitched as a half-hour anthology series ‘examining the many doors of perception.’
‘Season 1 will explore the Ego through an alternate reality Kanye West, whose younger self will be played by Smith,’ the publication reported.
