Jason Derulo gushes over Janet Jackson ahead of Australian tour

‘I can’t wait to see her perform!’ Jason Derulo gushes over Janet Jackson as the pair prepare to tour Australia together for RNB Fridays Live

Jason Derulo will join Janet Jackson and a host of other R&B icons for the RNB Fridays Live 2019 in November.

Speaking to Sydney Confidential this week, the 29-year-old admitted that he couldn’t wait to see the legendary Jackson take to the stage.

‘I’m looking forward to seeing Janet,’ he gushed. ‘I’ve actually never seen Janet perform live and now I’ll get to see her a bunch of time.’

Jason and Janet aren’t the only superstars on the bill, with the Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent and Sisqo all slated to perform too.

Janet fans in particular will be counting their lucky stars as it has been eight long years since the Grammy-award winning singer has performed in Australia.

Sisqo will also be joining the stellar line up for the national tour, which will take place in the major cities Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney this November.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 19 August through Ticketek

‘Australia’s one of my favourite places so I’m looking forward to mostly just being in Oz… and of course seeing Janet every night, that’s going to be amazing as well,’ Derulo told Channel Seven’s Sunrise on Friday.

Janet, 53, has been living life on a high note of late, largely due to her two-year-old son Eissa.

In June, the Jackson family legend told the Sunday Times that she’s in a ‘great space’.

‘I have a beautiful son,’ Janet added.

The Rhythm Nation hitmaker has even said Eissa has inspired a new nickname her friends and family have for her.

‘My friends call me Superwoman,’ she said.

‘God knows I’m not. But I think what they are seeing is the energy and that extra drive I’m getting from the inspiration of Eissa,’ she added.
