Jeremy Scott’s Moschino Met Gala bash branded a ‘disaster’ after ‘stars shun shindig for Gucci and Top of the Standard after-parties’
Jeremy Scott’s Moschino Met Gala bash has been been labelled a ‘flop’ after celebrities reportedly shunned it to attend other after-parties.
The Moschino fashion designer co-hosted the event with Katy Perry, who was dressed as a hamburger, at the Playboy Club in New York on Monday night.
But party-goers who attended the fête told Page Six they felt it was a ‘disaster’ and said the club was virtually empty- despite plans for rapper Christian Combs to perform.

‘There was every reason to believe that the Moschino party would be just as good.’
Other sources told Page Six rapper Christian called off his planned performance, because he ‘didn’t want to play to a handful of people in the club’s stage area’.

However one insider told the publication: ‘The bash was always intended to be a tight-knit party for friends and family.’
They claimed the guest list was just for 400 people of which 347 of them showed up.
Mail Online has contacted Jeremy Scott and Christian Combs for comment.
Katy was joined by Gwen Stefani at the post Met Gala bash.
Gwen was dressed in a silver mini dress with the words ‘New York Post’ on the front.

Alternatively, the American Idol judge went for a different look, opting to dress as a hamburger complete with layers of lettuce, meat, tomato, avocado, cheese and of course, the bun.
Ensuring it was her statement look that took centre stage, she kept her glam simple to minimally contoured cheekbones and her blonde tresses out straight.
Joining Katy in all the burger fun was the fashion designer himself, Jeremy Scott.
Jeremy opted for a jacket of the meal while posing alongside his muses Gwen and Katy.
Other fans of her look included Bella Hadid and Celine Dion, who even managed to give the Roar singer a peck on the lips.
However, video footage of Katy changing in the bathroom showed that Jennifer Lopez appeared less than impressed with her unique styling.
While the beauty was slipping into her comical second look, J-Lo muttered something about a burger before sashaying past her while looking straight ahead.
Katy’s burger comes after she came in lit to the Met Gala carpet, sporting a 40 pound chandelier.
‘There is a built-in corset consisting of 18 steel bones and two hidden battery packs to illuminate the lights,’ Jeremy told Vogue of his design.
‘I mean who wants to wear a chandelier that doesn’t light up!’
Raucous celebrations: Despite the small party, Katy and Gwen appeared to be having the time of their lives
