Kaley Cuoco shares video of painful cupping and scraping therapy she needs to keep her body from shutting down from ‘complete overuse’

At 33-years-old, Kaley Cuoco knows what she needs to keep her body in proper working condition.

The Big Bang star posted a video of the body work treatments she received Tuesday to recover from a workout that left her feeling ‘absolutely wrecked.’

‘My body just starts to shut down from complete overuse,’ she says.

The actress paid a visit to Flory, whom she calls her ‘angel.’

‘My angel Flory literally scraping my legs and hips. I’m so tight I can barely bend or turn I haven’t been able to actually move in weeks,’ she writes in one video.

Flory can be seen using a jade gua sha to scrape at Cuoco’s legs and chest during the scraping therapy.

A gua sha is a Chinese tool used to scrape at the skin in order to cause tissue damage with the belief that this will release muscle tissue and improve circulation.

‘Explain what horrific things you’re doing to me,’ Cuoco jokes in the video.

‘Your fascia is intense and tight, and I need to remove it, Flory responds, continuing, ‘your nerves and your ligaments get better.’

Later, Cuoco’s shows off her legs, covered in suction cups.

There’s not much scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of cupping therapy.

In fact, a 2014 review of recent evidence found that ‘because of the unreasonable design and poor research quality, the clinical evidence of cupping therapy is very low.’

But Cuoco says she definitely feels a difference.

Once in her car and about to leave, the Priceline spokeswoman briefed followers on why she’s been in so much pain and offered some words of advice.

‘I don’t even know how to function right now,’ she says. ‘First, I started with Ryan Sorensen at Proactive, at my gym… I got my ass handed to me there, and then I came over and got a bunch of body work, which guys, I have got to do more of.’

‘I go a few weeks and then I end up not being able to walk,’ she admits. ‘I think my body just starts to shut down from just complete overuse. If I don’t take care of it, I’m going to crumble.’

‘You’ve got to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of the things around you,’ she finally advised.
