Acting commitments for the eagerly anticipated third installment in the Bill and Ted film franchise began in June.

But while Sunday presented a welcome break in the shooting schedule, Keanu Reeves appeared to be dressed in character as he departed a private jet.

The 54-year old actor sported a black bomber jacket with the name of Bill and Ted’s fictional group,  Wyld Stallyns, emblazoned across the back.

With his long hair visible beneath a trucker’s cap, Keanu could easily be mistaken for a middle-aged Ted “Theodore” Logan, the hapless character who helped turn him into a household name.

The actor added to his relaxed look with a lilac T-shirt and loose-fitting, ripped jeans as he made his way across the tarmac shortly after landing at a private airport in Los Angeles.

Keanu, an accomplished musician, also carried a guitar case in on hand following his flight to southern California.

Fans of the popular film series will immediately recognize the distinctive name Wyld Stallyns, representing as it does the fledgling rock band fronted by Ted and his close friend Bill S. Preston, Esq, played by Alex Winter.

In the original film, Keanu and Alex played high schoolers more concerned with their band than their failing grades in history class.

But after they learn that a Utopian civilization centuries in the future depends on them passing history, the two are taken on a journey though the major moments of civilization, led by a guide played by the late George Carlin.

A sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, goes even further, sending the Bill and Ted into the depths of the underworld.

In newest film Bill & Ted Face the Music, Keanu and Alex reprise their characters in order to create a song that can save all of humanity, with the aid of some essential musicians of yore.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is scheduled for release on August 21, 2020.
