Sylvia Jeffreys, 33, and Peter Stefanovic, 27, have been inundated with congratulatory messages from their celebrity friends since announcing their pregnancy news on Monday night. 

And leading the pack was the couple’s former Nine colleague Lisa Wilkinson, who commented underneath Sylvia’s baby post about being ‘over the moon’ with her growing bundle of joy. 

‘About as over the moon as we all are!! ‘What a lucky lucky byb he is. Huge congrats to two of the best. Now the fun really begins!’ Lisa wrote, followed by heart emojis.

Sylvia and Peter’s former fellow Nine reporter Natalia Cooper, who is on maternity leave, used her comment to organise a play date for her son. 

‘Omg that’s wonderful news. I’m so happy for you both! Can’t wait til Ezra and your little man can play!’ she wrote.

Studio 10 host Sarah Harris crossed network allegiances to offer her congratulations, writing: ‘BOYS ARE THE BEST! Yay you two. You’ll be brilliant parents.’ 

Sunrise’s Natalie Barr did the same: ‘Oh wow! Welcome to the mums-of-boys club Sylvia! So very happy for you both.’ 

Radio presenter Ben Fordham also joined the fray: ‘Holy. What. Wow. Congrats you two. You will make fine parents. Your little fella will have the best of both worlds. Best news I’ve heard in ages.’

Sylvia captioned the snap: ‘We’re having a baby boy and we’re totally over the moon!!’

Peter also took to Instagram, sharing a photo of the grinning pair together as he held a card that read, ‘It’s a boy!’

‘Soon to be a family of three and we are rapt! Good thing I’m already match fit with the whole no sleep thing,’ he captioned the snap. 

In order to know the sex of her unborn baby, Sylvia must be between 16 and 20 weeks pregnant. 

The TV host has been at the centre of rampant pregnancy speculation in recent weeks. 

She appeared to be sporting a baby bump on her new Facebook show 9 News Watch earlier this month. 

The journalist also chose to run Sydney’s City2Surf marathon at a slow pace in late July, further fueling the talk. 

She claimed at the time that recent hip injury made her reconsider her tactic with this year’s 14km course.
